Welcome to Ms. Hak's Teacher Page
My family immigrated to the United States from Cambodia, seeking refuge from the civil war. I was raised in Oakland and had many inspiring educators. I always loved learning and knew that someday I would be a teacher. I believe all children are capable and have a desire to learn and to create. My goal is to guide and build the confidence for my students to achieve.
The outdoors – dipping in alpine lakes, strolling along the Bay, lounging in a hammock at a campground, and hiking in the high Sierras beneath sequoias.
I'm a California Golden Bear and attended the University of California, Berkeley. I received my teaching credential at Cal State East Bay, which is also where I received my master’s degree in Education Curriculum Development.
District Tools I Use:
I take attendance using Aeries. You can stay on top of attendance through the Aeries Family Portal or Aeries App
I use Aeries to generate report cards. Families can view report cards through the Aeries Family Portal.
I have not started to use the Aeries Standards-based Gradebook, but will update my Teacher Page when I begin using it. If you are subscribed to this page, you will be notified via email.
Sangha Interactive App:
I will be relying on the Sangha app to communicate with families in a protected, password-protected environment. Please download the app and log in using the parent-guardian email that was used for enrollment or data confirmation.
I have not yet started to use Google Classroom. I will update my Teacher Page when I begin using it. If you are subscribed to this page, you will be notified via email.
