FAQs:

Where can I find the calendar for the year?

Check our school website! https://bay.slzusd.org/

Where else can I find information?

Bay Elementary and the Bay PTA both have Facebook pages. Check us out!

Bay PTA (@bayschoolpta)

Why are there so many short days at the beginning of the year?

Teachers utilize the extra time on a shortened day to keep students later in order to assess their reading skills. This helps teachers to adjust the instruction in the room to make sure that every student gets what he or she needs to become a more competent and confident reader. You’ll notice banks for short days two more times this year, which enables our teachers and paraeducators to gather information on how our students are progressing.

What supplies does my student need for the year?

Supply lists are posted on the Bay website (https://bay.slzusd.org) under “Families.” Donations are optional.

What if I can’t find the answer to my question on the website or in this letter?

Call us at 510/317-4301! Ms. Rachel, Ms. Gulledge and Mrs. W. are back and ready to help make sure you have the information that you need.

I am looking forward to an amazing year at Bay! I can’t wait to meet you and your children. It’s good to be a Bronco!
